Tuesday WOD or “almost” is a good descriptor for “tossing your cookies”

Strict Press 5-5-5 Then 5 Rounds for time of: 20 Burpees 30 Kettlebell Swings (1.5/1), 40 Double Unders

My capability  for strict press is:

  • 20130209  45
  • 20130320   75    (65 5x)
  • 20130624   85

First round was 65pounds, then moved to 75, and struggled with 80 on 3rd round.  Reasonable given my max was 85 in june.

The wod was crazy.  I almost tossed my cookies. Turned out I was not the only one who felt that way during the last set of kettlebells.    Almost is a good word to use when describing tossing your cookies.

Guess that tells me that I scaled it appropriately.

I did 15 burpees instead of 20, and my first round was the closest to a real burpee that I have gotten.
I did 20 kettlebells at 16lbs,  don’t think that I could have done 25…though that was my original plan.
I then did 80 skips as wasn’t doing doubleunders and Kyle said group didn’t have to do 3-1 today.

So, at the end, it took me 25min…and as I said, that last set of kettlebells I thought I was going to vomit.
