One Month of Change: Results Matter

So, a month in, and if you have followed along you know that my life is changing.  From walking up stairs, to putting on socks, to buckling a seat belt, my life is becoming easier.

How does that look though?

Well, before Christmas, my size 24 jeans were tight, quite tight. My size 24 pants fit for work, but, tight as well.

I am fairly sure that I weighed over 270.

Today, I decided to try on some clothes that I haven’t been able to wear for years.

I am now wearing a pair of favourite jeans, size 22 from JNY

I am down to 258, which is a 10lb drop from when I started weighing.

Here’s the crazy part though about women’s clothes sizes.

I pulled out  pants that I haven’t been able to wear for a long time.  I put them on, they feel great, they look good in the mirror, but the size is the size of the pants that are too big!

Fits:

  • 24P from Addition-Elle (straight leg, fitted) (Canada)
  • 24 from Conrad-C  (US)
  • 22 from JNY  (jeans) (US)

Too big:

  • 24WS from Briggs New York (US)
  • 24 jeans from Addition-Elle (Canada)

Getting close

  • 20 from Penningtons (Canada)

The joy of women’s clothing.

And I always laugh when I note that Expensive brand clothes tend to have generous sizing!
    I’m mostly a 14 but not always!
